Why two juries picked Minerva on the same afternoon
Two independent juries, one afternoon, the same conclusion. The sovereign AI SOC thesis is no longer niche. it's becoming the obvious answer for serious industries.

On 19 May at Austrian WKÖ Connect Day, CyberACI was named to the Top 3 of Austria's Born Global Champions and won EY Best Startup Pitch at Connect Day's FrontierTech & AI block. Same day. Two independent juries. One signal.
The Born Global Champions Award, now in its 12th year, recognizes Austrian scaleups that built international ambition into their thesis from the start — companies whose products were designed to compete globally, not retrofitted for it later.
The EY Best Startup Pitch came hours earlier the same afternoon. A separate jury, a different question, the same answer.
Why this matters
The recognition is welcome. The more important signal is what it confirms about the market.
Regulated global industries — finance, critical infrastructure, defense — have a security operations problem that cloud-native vendors are structurally unable to solve. Data residency, sovereignty requirements, NIS2, DORA, GDPR, the EU AI Act reality together describe a constraint set that doesn't bend to retrofitted product roadmaps. It requires a SOC platform designed from the outset to run inside the customer's own perimeter, with the data never leaving and the AI never reaching out.
That is what Minerva is. Six specialized AI agents. Triage, Threat Hunting, Vulnerability Management, Incident Response, Detection Engineering, Threat Intelligence. Operating in coordinated workflows, deployable fully on-premise or in sovereign and air-gapped environments. Built in Vienna, aligned with regulatory reality, designed for customers who couldn't have adopted anything else.
When two independent juries in the same afternoon converge on the same conclusion, it suggests the thesis is no longer niche. It's becoming the obvious answer.
What's next
We'll be at Exporters Nite on 28 May at WKÖ Vienna for the Born Global Champions ranking reveal, and at the Born Global Alley exhibition the same evening. If you're in Vienna and want to see Minerva in action, find us there.
